This Privacy Policy explains how DEMPSEY BAKERY FRANCHISING, LLC (referred to as “Dempsey Bakery,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit the Dempsey Bakery website or contact the bakery through a service linked from the website.

The website is primarily informational. It currently does not offer customer accounts, online checkout, or newsletter signups.

We are based in the United States. The website and business are intended to support users and customers in the United States.

Information you choose to provide

You may choose to share information with us by phone or through a service linked from the website. For example, you may provide your name, contact details, order details, or the contents of a question or request.
We use information you provide to:

• answer your questions and requests;
• support an order or other interaction you initiate; and
• provide bakery services.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, payment details, health records, or other confidential information unless it is necessary for your request and you are using an appropriate method to provide it. A linked service may collect information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Information collected when you use the website

Website operations and security

When your browser requests a page, our hosting and website-platform providers may process technical information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, requested page, and the date and time of the request. This information may be used to deliver the website, protect it from misuse, investigate problems, and maintain its reliability and security.

Menu-personalization preferences

The website lets you select dairy-free and egg-free preferences to filter and personalize the menu items shown to you. Your selections are saved for this website in your browser's local storage. They are used only within your browser to apply the menu filters and are not intentionally sent to our application server, Sanity, or Google Analytics.

Your selections remain in that browser until you change them, clear them through the menu-personalization controls, or clear the website's stored data. To review or change them, open Personalize menu in the website header or Change Your Allergen Preferences in the mobile menu. You can select or unselect an option, or use Clear selections to remove all selected filters.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (“Google Analytics”) on eligible public website pages.
On a page where Analytics is eligible to run, it begins automatically after the page loads unless you previously turned it off in that browser. The website does not first ask for a choice through a consent banner. See Your Google Analytics choices below for instructions on turning it off.

We use Analytics to understand how people use the website and to improve its content, navigation, performance, and reliability.

Google Analytics may collect or derive information such as:

• the page URL and title;
• the referring page or source;
• page views, session information, and usage statistics;
• approximate location;
• browser, operating system, and device information;
• a pseudonymous browser or client identifier and session state; and
• timestamps.

Enhanced Measurement is enabled for page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, site search, video engagement, file downloads, and form interactions. Analytics records an event for one of these features only when the corresponding supported page view or interaction occurs.

The website does not intentionally send form contents, dietary preferences, or information that visitors provide directly to Dempsey Bakery to Google Analytics. Enhanced Measurement may record that a supported form interaction occurred without receiving the contents entered into the form.

Site-search measurement is enabled, but the website’s header search currently keeps the words you type within the page instead of adding them to the page’s URL. As a result, Google Analytics’ normal URL-based site-search detection does not currently receive those header-search terms. If the search implementation changes, we will review this disclosure and the Analytics configuration.

Your browser necessarily sends an IP address when it communicates with Google. Google states that Google Analytics 4 uses the IP address at collection time to derive approximate location information and discards the IP address before logging the data in Analytics. As of July 16, 2026, this website’s Analytics property is not linked to Google Ads or any other Google product. If a future product link materially changes how Analytics information is collected, used, or shared, we will update this policy.

Google Analytics cookies and local storage

Google Analytics may set these first-party cookies in your browser:

• _ga, which distinguishes users; and
• _ga_<measurement-ID>, which maintains session state for the applicable Analytics property.

Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years for these cookies. Their lifetime may be refreshed when the website is used. A cookie’s lifetime is different from the period for which event or user-level information is retained in the Google Analytics account.

The website also tries to save your Analytics choice in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is not an Analytics cookie. It allows the website to remember the choice for later visits in that browser.

If local storage is unavailable or cannot be written, your choice applies only for the current visit. Clearing Google Analytics cookies does not necessarily clear the saved preference because it is stored separately in local storage. Clearing the website’s local storage removes the saved preference. Clearing all site data may remove both Analytics cookies and the preference. If the saved preference is removed, Analytics will return to its default setting and may begin automatically the next time you visit an eligible page.

How Google handles Analytics information

Google receives and processes information collected through Google Analytics. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

The website tag is configured to deny Google advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad-personalization signals. It also disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals in the tag configuration. These website-tag settings do not, by themselves, establish every account-level Google Analytics setting, including Google Analytics data-sharing settings.

As of July 16, 2026, the Google Analytics account is set to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. These account retention settings are separate from the cookie lifetimes described above and do not control standard aggregated reports. We will review and update this policy if a material change to these settings affects how Analytics information is retained.

Embedded Google Maps

Location pages may include an embedded Google Map. When a map is available, the website uses browser lazy loading to load the Google Maps iframe automatically as it approaches the visible part of the page. You do not need to select the map before it loads.

When the iframe loads, your browser sends a request to Google that necessarily includes your IP address and may include the location page's URL as referrer information. Google may also read or set cookies or use similar technologies according to its settings and practices. Google handles information it receives through Maps under its own terms and policies. The website's Privacy Controls apply to the Google Analytics tag described in this policy. They do not prevent an embedded Google Map from loading and do not control Google's handling of information through Maps.

Your Google Analytics choices

To turn off Google Analytics for this website in your current browser:

1. Select Privacy Controls in the website footer.
2. Uncheck Google Analytics.

The change applies immediately to future activity in that browser. The website disables the Analytics tag for its measurement ID, sends denied Analytics and advertising consent signals, and attempts to remove its Google Analytics cookies. Turning Analytics off stops future transmission through this website’s Analytics tag for that measurement ID, but it cannot retract or delete information already sent.

When local storage is available, the disabled choice remains until you turn Analytics on again or clear the website’s stored data. If storage fails, the choice lasts only for the current visit. Turning Analytics on through Privacy Controls re-enables it.

You may also use the optional Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on is provided by Google and does not replace the website’s Privacy Controls.

The website’s Analytics controls do not currently interpret Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track browser signals. Use Privacy Controls to set your Analytics choice for this website.

Linked services and third-party websites

The website may link to ordering, maps, social media, or other third-party services. If you follow a link or use a linked service, that provider may collect and use information under its own privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review those documents. This Privacy Policy covers Dempsey Bakery’s website practices; it does not control an independent third party’s practices.

Providers such as Google may collect information about a browser's activity over time and across different websites or services when their technology is embedded in or used by those sites or services. Whether and how this happens depends on the provider's policies and settings and the visitor's account or browser settings. For this website, the relevant Google services are described in Google Analytics and Embedded Google Maps above. We do not control how an independent provider handles information it receives through its own services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, our practices, or the services we use change. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Revisions take effect when they are posted unless the revised policy states a later effective date.

If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will post a prominent notice on this page or elsewhere on the website and provide any additional notice required by applicable law. Direct notice may not be available because the website has no customer accounts or newsletter and we generally do not have contact information for ordinary website visitors.
